Beautiful mamas learning how to wrap their baby with a woven wrap, starting with a front wrap cross carry, onto a poppins hip carry, and then swiftly to the ruck back carry. With carrying experience they felt confident to get stuck in.
We were kept entertained by squeals and raspberry noises courtesy of our youngest participants, and sustained by mother's milk, Duplo, tea, biscuits and maracas.
The Lana Star wrap even came with sleepy dust, falling asleep on his mamas back, on her second ever attempt. Top rails take time, but the methods came quickly to these nimble mothers, who quickly grasped forming a deep seat and pinning it in place.
It can only be onwards and upwards from here, and on mamas back, to be carried close.
